The entrance to 5 Cambridge Center is on Main Street. MERSI is located
on the 8th floor. You will need to sign in at the security desk and
provide your destination.
From South:
Follow Rte. 3N or Rte. 95N to 1-93N. On 93N, take Exit 26, Storrow
Drive West exit. Proceed onto Storrow Drive West. Get left and take
first exit on left, Government Center/3N. Get in right lane and at
end of ramp take right at light toward Cambridge/Memorial Drive. You
will cross Longfellow Bridge onto Broadway Street. See directions below “from
Broadway on back”
From North:
Follow I-93S to Exit26 for Storrow Drive/North Station. Proceed onto
Storrow Drive West. Get left and take first exit on left, Government
Center/3N. Get in right lane and at end of ramp at light take right
toward Cambridge/Memorial Drive. You will cross Longfellow Bridge
onto Broadway Street. See directions below “from Broadway on
back”.
From West:
Follow I-90 East (Mass Pike) to exit 18 Allston/Cambridge. Take the
Allston/Cambridge exit toward Cambridge. Proceed onto Storrow Drive
East into Boston. After 3 miles take the Government Center exit on
right, stay left, and after the light, take an immediate left. You
come to a traffic light, take a left at that light and cross over
the Longfellow bridge onto Broadway Street. See directions below “from
Broadway on back”. Alternative directions to Storrow Drive,
see Memorial Drive directions in “from Rt 2”.
From RT 2: Follow RTE 2 east into Cambridge and bear left onto
Memorial Drive East. Travel 3 miles on Memorial Drive, take left at
Kendall Square exit. Go straight through the set of lights onto Wadsworth
St. and then, take your first, immediate left. Follow this street to
the end and turn right onto Ames Street. Go straight at the first set
of lights. You will see Legal Seafood's on the right and just after
is the right turn into the Parking garage.
From Logan International Airport:
Follow signs through Sumner Tunnel to Rte. 93N. Then, follow directions
above “from the South”.
From Broadway:
You will come to a set of lights just after crossing over the bridge.
The Marriot Hotel will be straight and on the left. Go straight through
the lights, stay in left lane, and just after the Marriot Hotel front
door is a left turn lane with nonfunctioning lights. Make a U-Turn
here and get right. You will immediately see a sign on the right:
Main
St
Westbound/ Marriot Service Entrance/Public Parking. At this sign,
bear right and straight onto the cobblestone road that takes you
into a U-Turn exiting onto Main St. Travel approximately 300 feet
past the entrance to 5 Cambridge Center to a set of lights. At the
lights, turn right onto
Ames Street and 50 feet after Legal’s Seafood is the entrance
on the right to the parking garage.
Subway directions:
Take the Red Line to the Kendall Square/ MIT stop.
Exit onto Main Street.
Turn right and walk approximately 200 feet and the entrance to 5 Cambridge
Center is on the right.
Parking:
The Garage entrance on Ames Street should be open to MERSI patients
despite any closure signs, however, you will need to use the intercom
to announce yourself or other person as a MERSI patient. The garage
attendant will instruct you from there. After parking the car, follow
the signs to Main Street Elevators. Proceed to the first floor and
exit out of the garage toward Main Street. The entrance to 5 Cambridge
Center is approximately 25 feet on the right. It is directly across
from MIT COOP.
MERSI ALTERNATIVE PARKING DIRECTIONS
Easiest Way to Drop off at front door on Main Street:
Traveling on Broadway, after the first set of lights at the left turn
lane, make a U-Turn and get right. You will immediately see a sign
on the right:
Main St Westbound/ Marriot Service Entrance. At this sign, bear right
onto the cobblestone road (it doesn’t look like a public road,
but it is) that takes you into a U-Turn exiting onto Main St. Travel
approximately 200 feet and just after the MIT COOP is the entrance
to 5 Cambridge Center
Alternative Parking:
Public Parking can be found at these 3 locations:
10 through 17 Cambridge Center:
At the set of lights just after crossing over the bridge, Go straight
through two sets of lights. Approximately, 50 feet after the second
set of lights(intersection of Ames and Broadway) will be a blue “P” for
public parking. Take a right turn and the entrance is on the right.
After parking the car, only use the Pedestrian Exit marked Broadway
access to 10 and 11 Cambridge Center and Biogen Dec. Walk out to
street and turn left to the first set of lights and cross street
onto Ames Street. Proceed straight and just after Legal Seafood take
a left onto Main Street. The entrance to 5 Cambridge Center is 25
feet on the left.
One Broadway:
At the set of lights just after crossing over the bridge, take a right
onto Third Street and on the right is a parking garage at One Broadway
Center. After parking exit by foot onto third Street going left.
At light cross Broadway Street and pass through the circular small
park and take a right onto Main Street. Travel 250 feet to front
door of 5 Cambridge Center.
Kendall Street:
At the set of lights just after crossing over the bridge, take a right
onto Third Street and the first right onto Kendall Street just after
One Broadway garage. Follow to the under ground parking garage. This
is a further walk than One Broadway garage. Proceed back to Third
Street by foot and follow walking directions above.
Meter Parking can be found on Main and Ames Street
